About
What is Flare Town?
An independent, educational reading of public Flare, XRP Ledger, and Firelight data, drawn as a town so it is easy to hold in your head. It is run by Wicklight Ventures LLC. It is not the Flare Foundation, Ripple, or Firelight Finance, and nothing here is financial advice.
Where do the numbers come from?
Public feeds from DefiLlama: value locked, exchange volume, fees, and prices. We refresh about once a minute. Each number is a snapshot. It can be late, wrong, or missing when a feed is down, and it is never an order book or a promise.
Do you connect wallets or ask for seed phrases?
No. Flare Town never connects a wallet, never holds coins, and never asks for a seed phrase. Anyone asking for your seed phrase in our name is not us.
Town Pass
What is free?
Live readings on Flare, Firelight, and XRPL City. The last 7 days of every chart. The glossary and the walkthroughs. No card, no sign-up.
What does Town Pass add?
- Full chart history on all three shores: 30 days, 90 days, 180 days, one year, and All.
- Freeze and read any day on the long tape.
- The Workshop: calculator desks for Flare, Firelight, and XRPL City.
- Alerts, shown as banners on this site when a reading crosses a line you set.
- The Citizen test, and a Pioneer number if you pass it.
How much is it, and how do I pay?
$9.99 a month, in US dollars, billed in advance by Stripe. It is one monthly plan. You pay on Stripe's checkout page with whatever methods Stripe offers there. We never see or store your card number.
Can I use it on my phone and my computer?
Yes. You pay once, and that is your Pass. Each browser unlocks on its own until accounts exist.
On each device, open flaretown.com/pass-thanks, type the email you paid with, and tap Unlock. Check Remember me if you do not want to repeat it on that device.
Your profile picture, top right, lets you add a photo or log out. The photo stays in that browser only. Logging out locks that browser. It does not stop billing.
When am I billed?
At the start of each month of access. If you start on the 15th, you pay $9.99 for access through the next 15th, and the next $9.99 is charged just before then so your access does not lapse.
How do I cancel?
Use the link in your Stripe receipt, or write to support@flaretown.com at least 24 hours before your next renewal. Canceling stops the next charge. You keep the Pass until the month you already paid for ends.
Are alerts emailed to me?
No. Alerts appear as a banner at the top of this site, in the browser where you set them. Nothing is emailed or sent to your phone.
What are the “New on Flare Town” notes?
A short note at the top of the page when something new is added to the site. They are on this site only, for everyone, with or without Town Pass. We do not email you about them. Dismiss hides a note for this visit. Don't show this again hides it for good in this browser.
Workshop
What is Workshop?
Workshop is the calculator desk. It has three desks. The Flare desk puts a two-coin pool next to just holding the coins. The Firelight desk shows how cover, the first-loss buffer, and an equal cut to every stXRP ticket fit together. The XRPL desk does pool-or-hold for the ledger's built-in AMM, and shows what a one-coin deposit costs. You type every number. Open the Workshop.
Do I need Town Pass for Workshop?
Yes. Workshop is part of Town Pass. Without a Pass you can see what each desk does and one worked example. With a Pass on this browser, all three desks open. The readings, the last 7 days of every chart, the glossary, and the walkthroughs stay free.
Are the calculators advice?
No. They do math on numbers you type. They do not know live prices, fees, or rewards, and they leave out network fees, slippage, and the chance a contract or issuer fails.
Not financial advice. For education only. Wicklight Ventures LLC is not the Flare Foundation. Calculators are practice math. They are not a forecast and not an offer to transact.
Refunds
Can I get my money back?
The current month is generally not refunded once your access has started. If you cancel partway through a month, you keep access until it ends, and we do not pay back the unused days unless we choose to as a courtesy.
We will refund a charge if we billed you by mistake, if checkout failed and you were still charged, or if the law where you live requires it. Write to us and we will sort it out.
What about chargebacks?
Please write to us first. We would rather fix it directly. A chargeback on a valid Pass can pause access while the bank reviews it.
Citizen
What is a Pioneer number?
Town Pass members can take the Citizen test: 20 questions, all correct. Passing gives you a numbered Pioneer badge. Paying alone does not give you a number.
Pioneer #01 is the owner. #02 to #05 are gifts from the owner. Public numbers start at #06 and run to #100. After the first hundred, new citizens are Settlers.
Does canceling erase my number?
No. A number already issued stays issued. The paid chart tools and the Workshop end when your paid month ends.
